Annapolis City Tree Lighting: Kick off the holiday season with the annual lighting of the tree at Annapolis City Dock. Festivities run from 5 to 8 p.m. Nov. 30. Watch Santa arrive by horse and carriage and enjoy dancing and carols sponsored by the Annapolis Jaycees.

The Annapolis tradition includes the pageantry of the march-on by the brigade of midshipman through the streets of Annapolis and onto the field of Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium, to the anticipation of the plebes’ ‘push-up’ count for every point the Mids place on the scoreboard.
